UPDATE: Flooding Causes Road Closures In Central Utah Tuesday

UPDATE: Crews have opened the I-15 Northbound lanes Tuesday around 12 p.m. UDOT is still warning drivers that flooding is possible throughout the day.

Original story: The Utah Department of Transportation is closing I-15 in Millard County North of Holden Tuesday morning. Northbound I-15 and one southbound lane are closed.

UDOT officials said the closure is about 5 miles north of Holden and motorists should expect delays. Weather is being blamed for the closure, but no further information was available.

Crews are also working to clear flooding near Scipio. The road was closed near Aurora on highway 50 with heavy rains Tuesday Morning.

Utah Emergency Management officials tweeted that flash flooding was likely for many parts of southern and central Utah Tuesday.
