Fresh Folk- January 19

On the show this week, I feature the latest from the talented guitarist and songwriter Dana Hubbard, as well as the authentic tunes from Bethel Steele. I’ll also play songs from new discs by Amy England, Ben Arthur and Liz Mitchell, among other talented artists.

With the new year, there some great concerts happening around the state, including: Judy Collins also at the Egyptian Theater on February 1st and 2nd, the amazing bass player Victor Wooten at the State Room on February 11th, The Chieftans at Kingsbury Hall on February 13th, Eric Bibb at Weber State University on February 14th, Dave Mason at the Egyptian Theater on February 15th and 16th, the amazing Hot Tuna at the State Room on February 16th, Carrie Rodriguez at the State Room on February 19th, the Infamous Stringdusters at Park City Live on February 20th, Martin Sexton also at Park City Live on February 21st, James McMurtry at the State Room on February 22nd, and Mickey Hart at the Depot on February 26th.  In Logan, the duo Small Potatoes plays at Crumb Brothers Bakery on February 16th.

Originally from Virginia, Blair has lived in Logan for 20 years. She has earned degrees in Environmental Science, Earth Science Education, and Geology. She has been involved in the folk music community for many years, producing local concerts for nearly 20 years, and hosting Fresh Folk for over a decade. Blair is an avid fan of both science and music, and attempts to indulge both sides of her brain every day. Blair and her husband share their home with 4 exceptional cats.
