“Early this morning the FBI contacted us concerning a warrant they wanted to serve here in Logan,” said Logan City Police Captain Logan Budge. “They brought their FBI task force up here. We assisted in some of the logistics, giving them a location to set up, help with traffic control at the location. We blocked the street off at 300 North 2nd West and 400 North 2nd West. All we’ve been doing is assisting with logistics for the agents who are working on this. We’ve contacted all the residents around - done the reverse 911. We’ve gone door to door with those residents. The FBI does not feel that there is any need for anyone to be moved from their residence at this time.”

Logan City Police are working with the FBI as part of a federal investigation.

"We can confirm that the FBI and law enforcement patterns are conducting an investigation at 380 North 200 West Logan, Utah,” said FBI special agent Doug Davis. “As there is a potentially hazardous chemical involved we ask that the public stay away from this location during the entirety of this operation. No wider threat to the public exists at this time. As it is a pending matter that is all we can say at this time.”

A SWAT team has left the scene but the area is still blocked off. More equipment has been brought to the scene for a longer investigation.
