Man Arrested After Threatening Mass Shooting In Southern Utah

  A man has been arrested in Washington County on charges he planned a shooting at a Walmart with the ultimate intent of committing “suicide by cop.”

Law enforcement in Washington County received a tip from authorities in Box Elder County about 26-year-old Milton Bowcutt who talked of committing a mass shooting with the expectation of then being killed by responding officers.  Detective Nate Abbott is with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

A Springdale Police officer spotted the Bowcutt’s vehicle Near Rockville.  Bowcutt was taken into custody with the assistance of deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Hurricane Police.
