SUU And SkyWest Airlines Team Up To Train Tomorrow's Commercial Pilots

mountainwestnews.org

Southern Utah University and SkyWest Airlines have announced a partnership to make the way easier for aspiring commercial pilots through SUU’s ever-expanding professional pilot aviation program.

A career as a commercial pilot can be very rewarding, but the training is a considerable investment.  SUU’s Ellen Treanor explains how the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program at SUU works.

“Cadets that qualify for the program and enter the program earn their degree while being a SkyWest employee.  So, when they graduate with their degree, they are immediately with a job and seniority for the time they spent in school. And there’s $10,000 of tuition reimbursement available from SkyWest Airlines.”

SkyWest is the leading regional airline in the nation and is based in St. George.
