Senate Begins Debate on Gay Marriage Ban

Senate Republicans bring to the floor a divisive proposal for a constitutional amendment limiting marriage to the union of a man and a woman. Democrats call the move to force a vote on the issue a GOP attempt to make political hay going into the fall election. Hear NPR's David Welna.
