Land Ethics And Earth

Nov 12, 2014

In a soil-science class, Thad has a life-changing moment, where he realizes human communities are part of the land.

Years ago, Jenny and I sat in an emergency room waiting for a doctor to attend her broken foot. A young blonde woman sat holding a limp, feverish toddler in her lap. Four other children under 10 huddled around her- all were clean and well behaved. Their father was working at a part time job.

Utah ranks last in the amount of money spent per student in the nation once again. Thad Box says  parents should be outraged, and education is important for children of all ages.

Thad Box tells us about the connection between Mother Earth and ourselves at the Gardener's Market.
