Planned and Major Giving

Why Plan a Gift?

For more than 75 years, UPR Members and Underwriters have helped ensure mission, vision and values. While these gifts go a long way toward taking care of the basic day-to-day operations, they do not reach the great and growing need to ensure financial stability and longevity of the UPR network.

Thoughtful gift planning can help you secure Utah Public Radio’s future. Gifts made through a bequest allow you to make a large impact with no cost to yourself, and committing your gift to an endowment provides us with critical, sustainable funding sources.

A bequest to Utah Public Radio can result in an estate tax charitable deduction, thereby lessening the tax burden on your family. Perhaps the greatest benefit comes in knowing that, by including Utah Public Radio in your estate plans, you will be creating a lasting legacy that will support public radio in Utah for years to come.

Here are a few easy ways to give:

  • Specify a percentage or dollar amount of your estate to Utah Public Radio
  • Give the residue of your estate to Utah Public Radio
  • Name Utah Public Radio a beneficiary of your IRA, 401k or life insurance

If you have already included Utah Public Radio in your plans, please let us know. Notifying us in advance is one of the best ways to guarantee your wishes will be carried out. In addition, we want to thank and recognize you for your gift.
You can leave your legacy in reliable, fact-based journalism. We would be most honored to be remembered as a part of your legacy. For more information about planned giving opportunities, please don't hesitate to contact:
