Cache Valley Lawmaker Curt Webb

As the opportunity for filing to run for political office in Utah nears, another Cache Valley lawmaker has announced he will not seek re-election.  Republican representative Curt Webb of Providence announced Monday morning he will not be running in 2018.

Last week, Logan Republican Representative Ed Redd announced problems with health would prevent him from running.

At the age of 69, Webb says he wants to spend time with family.  Webb was elected to serve in the Utah House in 2003.  The 2018 session, which begins in January, will be his last.

Both Webb and Redd are encouraging members of their party to consider running for open seats when filing opens in March.
