On Wednesday evening, the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announcedthe closure of all of the church's temples around the world.

As the situation with the coronavirus has worsened around the globe, many of the faith's temples have already closed. Others remained open with limited access to temple ordinances for living patrons only. Prior to the announcement on Wednesday evening, all proxy temple work had already been stopped.

A press release about the closure said temple staff would contact everyone with existing ordinance reservations to confirm cancelation. When temples reopen, individuals will need to make new reservations.
