Curbing EPA Regulations, and a New Homeless Shelter on Behind the Headlines

Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz and Sen. Mike Lee propose legislation to curb EPA regulations on Utah coal power plants. The Salt Lake Area Restaurant Association asks Governor Gary Hebert to veto a bill lowering the legal blood-alcohol limit. And residents of South Salt Lake and West Valley confront Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams over proposed locations for a new homeless resource center.

On Friday at 9 a.m., Salt Lake Tribune reporters Emma Penrod and Matt Piper, columnist Robert Gehrke and government and politics editor Dan Harrie join KCPW’s Roger McDonough to talk about the week’s top stories.

Each Friday morning, stream “Behind the Headlines” on KCPW.org or tune in to KCPW or Utah Public Radio for the broadcast.
