The United States Department of Justice has found that a Utah University failed to respond appropriately to known sexual harassment allegations.
Utah State University failed to address sexual misconduct claims between 2013 and 2017 according to the DOJ report released this week.
The investigation began after USU was questioned for their handling of claims that former USU football player Torrey Green raped several women during his time as a student.
USU has signed an agreement with the DOJ that provides steps for future prevention education on the school’s campuses, including requirements to update and revise the institution’s sexual misconduct policies and procedures, to provide in-person training for new students on residential campuses, to require students to complete annual online training, and to require annual in-person training for responsible employees.
