Fire Damages 1 Home, 2 Structures; Threatens Others In Utah

Authorities in northern Utah say a fire at a church has destroyed a home and multiple buildings, and threatens other structures. The Salt Lake Tribune reported that the Utah Fire Department has said the fire’s progress was halted by firefighters and is estimated at 225 acres about 90 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.

The fire destroyed one primary residence and damaged two other residences. The state Department of Transportation has reopened U.S. Highway 40 after closing both directions. All evacuations have been lifted. The cause of the fire is unknown.
