Ground Is Broken At Site Of Future Home For Family Of Fallen Soldier

Ground has been broken at the site of a future home for a fallen Utah soldier’s family. The Taylor family will be receiving a new home through the ‘Have a Heart Home’ effort. The Have a Heart Home non-profit foundation has refurbished and sold over 25 homes to families in need in Weber and Davis county.

Currently, the foundation is focused on providing a home to the family of Major Brent Taylor, 39, who was killed in Afghanistan while deployed as a member of the Utah National Guard in November of 2018.

Taylor left behind his wife Jennie, and their seven children. Their children range in age from three to 16. Taylor also served as the mayor of North Ogden before his death.

Construction for the home building effort is sponsored by Nilson Homes of South Ogden, the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors and the Northern Wasatch Homebuilders Association.
