LDS Church Leaders Announce End Of Saturday Evening General Conference Sessions

Saturday evening sessions of General Conference for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be discontinued beginning in October. Previously, the Utah-based faith held a session for women during their October general conference and a session for priesthood holders during their April conference.

In a press release announcing this change, church leaders also announced that the conference center in Salt Lake City will remain closed to the public during the October General Conference Session. This will be the fourth time the conference is only available virtually since the pandemic began in 2020.
