According to a report from Deseret News, a recent Instagram post from Global Map Posts suggests Utah might be one of the youngest states in the country and one of the youngest places in the Western world.
The map breaks down every state in the U.S. and several European countries by five median age categories. In the areas included on the map, Utah is the only location where the median age is less than 35. According to the Deseret News report, this suggests it is one of the youngest places in the country and the European Union.
The median age in much of the Western U.S. is close to Utah’s, while Northwestern states like Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire are ranked among the older places in the country, along with Florida and West Virginia.
