Sen. Mike is criticizing the massive election reform bill that passed the United States House of Representatives earlier this week, saying it was “written by the devil himself” on Fox & Friends this morning, according to a report from The Salt Lake Tribune.
Lee said he disagrees with everything in the bill, which includes measures such as nationwide automatic voter registration, several campaign finance reforms, and a requirement that every state use an independent commission for redistricting to reduce political gerrymandering.
Lee suggested that things like provisions that set several national voter registration and mail-in voting standards are a power-grab for Democrats. He said these steps take power away from the states, which makes them unconstitutional.
