Moab’s acting police chief says the department is taking steps to improve after receiving heavy criticism for how it handled a body cam video in the Gabby Petito case.Braydon Palmer, who is only seven days into the new role leading the department, admitted the department wasn’t well-equipped to handle multiple public records requests. The Moab police chief, Bret Edge, is out on Family Medical leave until further notice.
Palmer says is promising that the department will be better equipped going forward. He says he believes the department is already better prepared.
