Starting Thursday, the healthcare company Nomi Health is launching no-cost, PCR saliva testing. In a press release from Nomi, the group stated they worked with the state to launch this testing, which will allow Utahns to receive these tests without a doctor’s order at 15 test sites in the state. The tests will be administered as part of the Test Utah initiative, which is sponsored by Silicon Slopes and is a partnership with state leaders and private corporations. While the innovative has helped expand COVID testing in the state, there has also been controversy related to concerns over the accuracy of tests provided by Test Utah.
