A 56-year-old Ogden woman with a criminal history is accused of intentionally starting a fire that critically injured her boyfriend and damaged six apartment units.

Kristilynn Thompson was booked into the Weber County Jail shortly after the fire in Ogden Tuesday. She was charged in 2nd District Court Wednesday with aggravated arson and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police say she was holding a pipe to smoke methamphetamine when she was arrested near the apartment building.

Charging document say Thompson told police her boyfriend had locked her out of the apartment so she kicked out a window and lit a blanket on fire, which ignited a sofa and engulfed the apartment in flames.

Court records show she's been arrested before on DUI and drug-related charges but they don't indicate whether she has a lawyer or will be appointed one.
