Overdue Hiker Missing In Zion National Park Found Alive

A missing hiker has been found alive following an active search and rescue operation that closed The Narrows in Zion National Park. Officials say the hiker was found with no serious injuries. Search and rescue crews began searching The Narrows around 7 a.m. on Thursday morning. The hiker was found just after 12:30 p.m. The rescue efforts came after the park closed The Narrows and other slot canyons earlier in the day Wednesday after a flash flood warning was issued in the area.

Zion National Park urges visitors to check park regulations and weather conditions before hiking The Narrows or any other slot canyon in the park.
