One person was found dead on Thursday after an off-road crash in Cache County, according to a news release from the Cache County Sheriff’s Office.Officers from the sheriff’s office were dispatched around 5:30 p.m. to investigate the crash in the Mt. Pisgah area. According to the release, when deputies arrived on the scene, they located “a Jeep that had left the dirt roadway, and a single occupant that had been ejected from the vehicle.”
An accident reconstruction team’s initial findings suggest the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
As warmer weather approaches, the sheriff’s office encourages people to wear all available safety equipment and to not drink and drive.
