The parents of Tyler Glenn, best known as the lead singer of popular alternative band Neon Trees, had a Pride flag stolen from their porch around 2:40 a.m. Thursday morning.Tyler posted about the incident to his 40,000 followers on Instagram. He says he wants “people to know that this kind of stuff is still happening in suburban neighborhoods.”
This incident is a much bigger trend of Pride thefts and vandalism across the state. The South Jordan Police Department says the theft at the Glenn’s home was one of four complaints they received Thursday related to stolen Pride items.
The Glenn family says they don’t care about replacing a $20 sign, they just want people to feel safe being themselves.
