The trial of a former Utah State football player accused of sexually assaulting seven women is set to begin. Jurors will hear opening statements Monday in Brigham City in the case against 25-year-old Torrey Green.
The former student-athlete faces charges of committing rape, kidnapping and other felony crimes between 2013 and 2015 when he was at the school.
Green has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
A judge moved the trial outside of Logan, siding with defense attorneys who said Green could not get a fair trial.
The case has drawn additional attention because of Green's race. He is African-American and the victims are white.
The former football star had signed a free agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons but was released from it when the allegations became public.
