Dixie State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences is bringing the “Remember the 43 Students” art installation to their campus. This installation commemorates the six people who were killed and the 43 students who were “disappeared” in a night of unspeakable political violence in Iguala, Guerrero state, Mexico on September 26, 2014.

John Gibler, a journalist based in Mexico City who has written extensively about Mexico, political violence, and this particular atrocity, will be in discussion with Vince Brown, the head of DSU‘s Institute of Politics on September 23 at 4 PM in the Gardner Ballroom on the Dixie State University campus.

We’ll talk about this today with journalist John Gibler; Vince Brown, Director of the Dixie State University Institute of Politics; and Christopher Gonzalez, Director of the USU Latinx Cultural Center and Professor of English and Associate Dean in the USU College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
