Six Arrested In Sanpete County After Drugs And Thousands Of Stolen Items Found

Mid Utah Radio

Police finally have a conclusion to investigations into several thefts throughout central Utah in the past few months. The Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office has arrested six individuals after searches of a home north of Ephraim turned up stolen items.

Breonna Thurston was first arrested by deputies for an outstanding warrant on November 7. As officers were arresting her, they noticed a large amount of ammo and firearm accessories in her home. Because she’s a felon and restricted from having a firearm herself, officers were able to obtain a search warrant.

Searches turned up drug paraphernalia and stolen items in the home.

A search of two storage units in Gunnison turned up thousands of stolen items, including several firearms.

The stolen property is being returned to the owners. Victims, in this case, span numerous jurisdictions including Sevier County, Richfield City, Salina City, Gunnison City, Ephraim City, Mt. Pleasant City and Sanpete County.

Sean Clark was arrested at the home and has been sentenced for Obstruction of Justice.

Wyatt Clark was also arrested at the home and has been sentenced with possession of a controlled substance.

Another adult male, Chris Brown was arrested on a probation violation and was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Breonna Thurston has been charged with 22 counts that include unlawful use or possession of a financial transaction card, burglary, theft, identity theft, forgery, and possession of a stolen firearm, and at the time, had outstanding charges of DUI and possession of controlled substances in Sanpete County.

Garrett Clark has been charged with 16 counts that also include unlawful use or Possession of a financial transaction card, burglary, theft, identity theft, forgery, and possession of a stolen firearm, as well as, having outstanding charges of possession of a firearm by a restricted person and possession of controlled substances in the jurisdiction of Utah County.

Chris Thurston was charged with four counts of burglary and theft and is currently completing a sentence at the Sanpete County Jail on a separate conviction.

Multiple other jurisdictions are conducting investigations that may be related to this case.
