Firework restrictions are already happening all around the state, and more could be coming, according to a report from KUTV.Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson says she will make a firework-related announcement Monday morning at a scheduled news conference. Since drought conditions are extreme and temperatures are very hot, Wilson is asking people to look for other ways to celebrate the Fourth of July and Pioneer Day.
Several cities in Salt Lake County have already talked of expanding firework restrictions, including Cottonwood Heights, Millcreek and Sandy.
Wilson’s news conference is scheduled for 10 a.m.
