Snowfall On Northern, Central Utah Expected From Storm

Much of Utah can expect snowfall from a storm expected to start affecting the state late Thursday night and continue through Friday evening.

A winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service for northern and central Utah says several inches of snow are possible across northern valleys and that heavy snowfall is expected in northern and central mountains, with the greatest amounts along the Wasatch Range.

Meanwhile, a flood warning for Washington and southwestern Kane Counties in southern Utah remained in effect Thursday morning but the weather service said flows in rivers and streams were decreasing,

Forecasters said one exception was the Virgin River south of St. George and that areas that could still experience flooding included St. George and Zion National Park.
