State Department of Health COVID-19 Updates, Press Conf., Friday, March 20

Mar 20, 2020

As of Friday afternoon, there are 112 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Utah. Visitors to the state still make up only 10 of the total cases. Residents are the other 102 cases.

This is the largest jump in confirmed cases in the state since the out break. State epidimiolgist Angela Dunn said in the press conference on Friday that social distancing measure will hopefullyhelp slow this increase, although the numbers are expected to keep going up.

Dunn said that the state should see a significant increase in the ability to test for the coronavirus next week, although she does not have specific numbers.
