State Department of Health COVID-19 Updates, Thursday, April 2

There are now 1,074 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Utah as of 1 p.m. on Thursday. The state website posting results reports that 12,065 people have been tested for the virus and that 100 people have been hospitalized, although this number does not account for people who have since recovered.

Over 70% of cases in the state are still reported in adults between the ages of 25-64.

As of April 2, the state website stated that they are no longer including visitor cases in the state data to comply with standards set by the Center for Disease Control. These cases will be counted in their home states.
