Thanksgiving race to help Utahns facing hunger

The Thanksgiving Day Utah Human Race is looking to surpass 4,000 registered racers this year. The race is one of Utah’s biggest fun runs with less than one week to register before the race on Thanksgiving morning.

The proceeds from the race go to the Utah Food Bank and directly benefit the 410,000 Uthan’s facing hunger. The food bank was able to provide the equivalent of 58.5 million meals to Utahns who needed it last fiscal year .

The race will be held in Sandy on November 25th at

8 a.m.

Emma Feuz is a senior at Utah State University majoring in broadcast journalism with minors in sociology and political science. She grew up in Evanston, Wyoming where, just like Utah State, the sagebrush also grows. Emma found her love of writing at an early age and slowly discovered her interest in all things audio and visual throughout her years in school. She is excited to put those passions to use at UPR. When school isn't taking up her time, Emma loves longboarding, cheering on the Denver Broncos, and cleaning the sink at Angies.
