The 2018 Tour of Utah pro cycling race will start in St. George and end in Park City.

The race's managing director John Kimball says the St. George start is the tour's southernmost beginning point in its 14-year history.

Race coordinators Larry H. Miller Sports and Entertainment said Wednesday that the race will begin Aug. 6 and is scheduled to end Aug. 12.

The Tour of Utah has already received early commitments from three of the top 10-rated WorldTour teams in the world, highlighted by third-ranked BMC Racing.

American squads Trek-Segafredo, ranked No. 5 internationally, and 10th-ranked EF Education First-Drapac will also compete, as well as seventh-ranked Mitchelton-Scott of Australia.
