Two More Utahns Arrested In Connection To Capitol Insurrection

Two more Utahns, a man and a woman, have been arrested in connection with the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Jacob Kyle Wiedrish was taken into custody Thursday after the United States District Court for the District of Columbia issued a warrant for his arrest. Janet West Buhler was arrested Friday under another warrant issued by the D.C. district court. Both of them are accused of disorderly conduct, parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building and entering or remaining in a restricted building with no authority to do so.

The arrests of Wiedrich and Buhler bring the total number of Utahns arrested in connection with the Capitol insurrection to seven. Across the nation, 550 people have been charged. 27 of those have pleaded guilty.
