UDOT Resurfacing of US-91 From Logan to Smithfield

Through the end of July, the Utah Department of Transportation will resurface Main Street in Logan, from 10th North to 900 South in Smithfield.

“The project also includes the installation of two signals. One at 1600 North by the Walmart in Logan, and one at 3100 North, the entrance to the new high school in Hyde Park, North Logan,” said Vic Saunders, spokesperson for UDOT.

Paving will occur from 9:00 p.m. to between 5:00 and 7:00 in the morning. Daytime motorists won’t see any impact however, those traveling at night can anticipate one-lane closures in each direction.

“If your travel time is sensitive and you’re headed to someplace where you need to be there in a hurry, plan ahead, use an alternative route, get around this construction zone and everything should be okay,” Saunders said.

This is a maintenance project UDOT has to do every few years. It lengthens the lifetime of the roadway to avoid major future reconstruction. The intersection of 1600 North and Main Street is scheduled to be close to 30 days. That’s by the North Logan Walmart. The intersection at 3100 north will be constructed later this year. Those details will be announced as they become available.
