Weber High School Assistant Principal Fired
Jim Bell was terminated from Weber High School on March 21 and the school district also provided information about that termination to the North Ogden police department. The allegations or charges against Jim Bell have not been released.

Ice Sheet Expansion
The venue for the 2002 winter Olympic curling matches is being expanded due to its popularity. Projected cost of the renovation is about $7.5 million. Funds for the facility's expansion will come in part from RAMP tax (Recreation and Amusement Park) money.

New Ride at Lagoon
A 42-foot tower called "Air Race" is being constructed now and will hopefully be ready by the time the park opens this weekend.

At 14-years-old, Kerry began working as a reporter for KVEL “The Hot One” in Vernal, Utah. Her radio news interests led her to Logan where she became news director for KBLQ while attending Utah State University. She graduated USU with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and spent the next few years working for Utah Public Radio. Leaving UPR in 1993 she spent the next 14 years as the full time mother of four boys before returning in 2007. Kerry and her husband Boyd reside in Nibley.
