Utah Begins Administering Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

Starting Thursday, Utahns who are eligible for COVID-19 immunization can receive the new Johnson & Johnson vaccine, just three days after the FDA granted emergency use authorization.Intermountain Healthcare will begin using it to vaccinate eligible Utahns immediately. University of Utah Health will have it available at its Famington, South Jordan and Sugar House Health Centers on March 8. 

 

This is the third vaccine to be approved in the United States, following the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines that were approved in December. 

 

State officials are predicting COVID-19 vaccinations will be available to every Utahn by the end of April.
