Sen. Kirk Cullimore (R-Sandy) says businesses should have some accountability and responsibility if they decide to mandate the coronavirus vaccines and an employee or customer has an adverse reaction to it. Cullimore says the aim of the bill is to provide a legal framework for this issue as we continue to head into brand new territory when it comes to the pandemic. He says a business “needs to assume, or at least know, what the potential risk and liability is.”
Cullimore says the bill is not intended to discourage people from getting vaccinated or to impede public health.
The legislative session, where this bill could potentially be passed, begins in January.
