The weather pattern in northern Utah is expected to remain unstable through most of the upcoming weekend, with more thunderstorms and colder temperatures by Friday evening.A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for the Western Uinta Mountains, including Moon Lake and Mirror Lake Highway from 6 a.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday. It’s expected to snow up to 12 inches in elevations above 9,000 feet, with gusts of winds up to 40 mph.
More rain is expected along the Wasatch Front through Saturday. Sunday will see improved conditions, but the following week will have several sets of storms that bring even colder temperatures and possibly snow in the valleys.
