Utah's Zion National Park officials announced Sunday they will begin providing day use recreational access to select areas within the park later this month.
The website states that May 13 is the opening date and outlines the process for reopening, including coordinating with the State of Utah, southwest Utah elected leaders, park partners, and local businesses.
The opening is in line with White House guidelines for Opening Up America Again, according to the announcement. Park officials are expected to provide more information in the days to come on what will be accessible on the park.
