On Friday, Utah State University announced Police Chief Blair Barfuss will be leaving the university this month.

In an effort to “strengthen leadership and oversight,” Utah State University announced Thursday a new executive director position and changes to the reporting structure within the school’s public safety department.

Earl Morris, the Utah State University Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police, resigned from the university Thursday, one day after being placed on administrative leave for making what USU calls “reprehensible and unacceptable comments to USU student athletes.”
