Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the ACLU has filed 14 lawsuits to ensure that all eligible voters in Wyoming and across the nation have the option to vote safely by mail, and the nonpartisan group says it isn't backing down now.

Though thousands of ballots were cast by mail, voters in Cache County still lined up at the single polling station on Tuesday to make their voices heard.

As was expected, Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox won Utah’s gubernatorial race on Tuesday evening. Due to COVID-19, he and his running mate Senator Diedre Henderson addressed supporters through Facebook Live from Fairview, Utah.

It’s the day after Election Day. We don’t know for sure who has won the presidential election. Control of the U.S. Senate is still unclear. Many votes are still being counted. The picture in Utah is clearer. We’ll talk about where we are and where we go from here.

Joint Gubernatorial Candidate PSA Encourages Civility

On Tuesday new campaign ads for Utah’s gubernatorial race began circulating online. The ads—paid for in part by Republican candidate Spencer Cox’s campaign—feature both Cox and Democratic candidate Chris Peterson speaking about shared values and urging Utahns to choose civility.

With the highest turnout for primaries in 40 years, Idaho's unique all-absentee election in May presented a challenge for the state. 


Friday is Pioneer Day in Utah and in honor of the celebration, Donald Trump Jr. spoke with members of the Utah media on behalf of his father’s presidential campaign on Thursday.

Outside the State House on Tuesday afternoon, Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox characterized his campaign as that of an underdog. 


“When we started this journey over a year ago, we certainly received some criticism from the experts. They told us we started too early. They told us we couldn’t win with a novice 25-year old campaign manager,” said Cox.

While there are still more votes to be counted from Utah's primary election, shortly after 4 p.m. on Monday the Associated Press called Utah's Republican gubernatorial race in favor of Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox and his running mate Deidre Henderson.


Tuesday’s Republican primary had some big surprises and some races were too close to call, with a significant number of vote-by-mail ballots outstanding.

The first round of results from this year’s primary election are in and as expected, many of the races are too close to call, including the four-way Republican primary for the Governor’s seat.

It’s been 35 years since a Democrat was governor of Utah. So, the winner of next Tuesday’s Republican primary will likely be the state’s next governor. 


Tuesday night, Utah’s Republican Gubernatorial candidates, John Huntsman, Spencer Cox,  Greg Hughes, and Thomas Wright got into a feisty discussion about the state’s financial stability.
