Utah State University officials announced Tuesday that as of the end of the year, they have distributed over $7.8 million in federal and institutional-donated funds to students experiencing hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic.  

Thanks to CARES Act funding, Summit County is launching two grant programs to help organizations impacted by the coronavirus.

Cache Valley Transit Center Receives CARES Act Grant

U.S Transportation Secretary, Elaine L. Chao, announced Tuesday the Cache Valley Transit Center will be awarded a $5.3 million dollar grant as part of the CARES act.

Under the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, nearly $14 billion was allocated to higher education institutions across the United States, including more than $17 million for Utah State University.
