In a recent study, economists looked at rates of innovation among industries and firms. The study included self-reporting measures across rural and urban sites.  

The Utah-based robotics company Sarcos is working to develop technologies to augment, instead of replacing humans working in the industrial, public safety and military sectors. The robotics company is receiving financial incentives from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.

Experimenting with new crop varieties adds to the many risks farmers already face, according to experts at Utah State University. USU research farms throughout the state are working with farmers to eliminate risks by creating a more efficient food system.

After completing many projects in Cache Valley, President of the Cache Chamber of Commerce Sandy Emile is retiring this month after 17 years of service. Some of the projects she worked on while in office include the 10th West truck route and improvements to the airport. Emile attributes the community’s success to working together and she said that’s what Cache Valley will need for the future.
