Utah snowpack

A new study looking at year-to-year snowpack in the western US found that back-to-back low snow years will be more frequent if the world continues along the business-as-usual emissions trajectory.

The state of Utah is known for having some of the greatest snow on earth, but dust is threatening this important natural resource. 

Wind in dry or disturbed regions can pick up small pieces of dirt or minerals, and carry that dust across regions.
