Utah lawmaker under watch as the investigation on John Swallow begins

The legislative committee organized to investigate Utah Attorney General John Swallow embarks upon its first full week of existence with the committee itself coming under closer examination.

The chairmanship of St. George lawmaker Lowry Snow has come under question after it was discovered that Snow’s law firm has represented a company linked to Jeremy Johnson – the central figure making accusations against Swallow.

Fellow lawmaker Mike Noel speaking on KSUB’s Southern Utah forum is firm in his confidence in Snow.

“I’m confident with Lowry there that this will be the most above board and most respectable investigation that you could possibly ask for in this situation,” Noel said.

Snow will meet Wednesday with house speaker Becky Lockhart to discuss his future as chairman.
