Utah Republican Rep. Rob Bishop is praising the Trump administration's plans and streamline environmental reviews to speed up permits for infrastructure projects.

Bishop told lawmakers in Utah's Senate in Salt Lake City on Monday that Trump's plan to shorten the environmental review process as part of the president's $1.5 trillion infrastructure plan will make it so "you can build things in a reasonable amount of time."

Bishop, the chair of the House Natural Resources committee, also praised a proposal from U.S. interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to move the headquarters of the U.S. Bureau of Land management to a western state.

Bishop that will put federal land managers closer to the people they serve.
