Four Utah Cities Ranked Among The Top 20 Places In The Country To Start A Small Business
The city of Clearfield in Davis County came in at number 18 on the list for the top small cities nationwide to start a small business. Cedar City came in 19th place and Springville in Utah County in 20th.
The fast-growing city of St. George came in at second, right behind the city of Holland in western Michigan.
The personal finance website WalletHub published the report using data from over 1,200 cities that had less than 100,000 residents. It used 18 key metrics ranging from small business growth and accessibility of financing to investor access and labor costs.
The study also found that 23% of small business owners say companies will use savings from President Trump’s tax changes mainly for executive and investor bonuses. 12% plan to have that growth go to employee compensation.
