Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says he doesn't want his platform to be used to “rip society apart” but that at some point the social media company must stand up for free speech. The Salt Lake Tribune reported that Zuckerberg said during a speech Friday in Salt Lake City that the company's upcoming steps to protect free expression are going to upset a lot of people. The company has come under pressure to do more to clamp down on fake accounts and misinformation after Russian actors used Facebook and other social media platforms to interfere in the 2016 U.S. elections
