Remembering Fred Adams, Founder Of The Utah Shakespeare Festival

Utah Shakespeare Festival

Fred Adams, the founder of the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, passed away earlier this week. Adams moved to Utah in 1959 and a few years later, began the festival in hopes of helping his new community. In 2013, he sat down with Scott Phillips, who was then the festival’s director, for a conversation as part of the UPR and StoryCorp collaboration.

You can find the text of this conversation here, and another StoryCorp conversation with Fred here.
