Mormon-Owned BYU: Same-Sex Romantic Behavior Still Banned

Brigham Young University in Utah says “same-sex romantic behavior” isn't allowed on campus, even under recent changes to its strict code of conduct. The revision dropped a section that banned any behavior reflecting “homosexual feelings." The university owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints posted a letter Wednesday saying the “moral standards” of the church and the faith's opposition to same-sex marriage haven't changed. The letter doesn't detail what romantic behaviors are and aren't allowed. But it seems to suggest gay and lesbian couples won't be allowed to be more open by holding hands and kissing on campus.
